First Encounters Videos

The Better Said Than Done storytellers had a great time with our stories of “First Encounters.” It was such a fun night at Epicure Cafe.

One of the oddest first encounters of the night was Anna Marie Trester’s first experience with Tucson.
Watch her story:

One of the grossest experiences came from Jessica Piscitelli.

First Encounters Round Up

What an awesome show! I love working with professional storytellers, because they always deliver. And the food and service at Epicure Cafe was, once again, wonderful. We even had an impromptu story from one of the owners! Can’t beat that!

Jennifer Luu kicked the night off with a tale of her first ever trip to Vietnam, and a little too much information about getting a massage in a back room there. To think, not a year ago Len Kruger was just a First Time Teller. He killed it with a story of not quite having all his dreams come true at his first writing conference.

Marcella Jones, this month’s First Time Teller, followed with a story about several firsts in her life which lead her to the place she is today. We wrapped up the first half of “First Encounters” with Michael Zhuang’s story of the first time he met his son.

Full Recap of Luck of the Irish

“The Luck of the Irish,” our St. Patrick’s Day show at Jammin’ Java, was a fantastic night of stories. And thanks to the magic of video, you can see exactly how fantastic for yourself!

Adam Ruben’s story about his unique approach to elementary school field day.

Katie Kelly talked about how penguinos (apparently an irresistible dessert in Honduras) almost led her to a violent and sudden death.

Better Said Than Done then welcomed first time teller Carlos Escobar. He had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand and even did a little strip-tease for us!

St. Patrick’s Show at Jammin’ Java

Wow. That’s all I can say. Okay, who are we kidding, I am going to say a lot more than that. “The Luck of the Irish,” our St. Patrick’s Day show at Jammin’ Java, was a roaring success but, more importantly, a fantastic night of stories.

Adam Ruben started out the night with a story about his unique approach to elementary school field day. It was a great story to warm up the audience because there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, from all the laughing. Katie Kelly talked about penguins. Well, more like penguinos (apparently an irresistible dessert in Honduras) and how they almost led her to a violent and sudden death.

Better Said Than Done then welcomed first time teller Carlos Escobar. No one would have known from his story that he was a first time teller. He had the audience eating out of the palm of his hand and even did a little strip-tease for us!
