Join Better Said Than Done for our next storytelling performance on St. Patrick’s Day.

The performance will feature entertaining performances of true stories about smart people and dumb luck.  Storytellers include: Stephanie Garibaldi, Katie Kelly, Mel Harkrader Pine, Jessica Piscitelli, Adam Ruben, John Tong, and Anna Marie Trester.  Additionally, Better Said Than Done welcomes first time teller Carlos Escobar to the stage.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance at www.jamminjava.com or 703-255-1566 ext. 8, or at Jammin’ Java.  

A full dinner menu and full bar are available during the show.  Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.  The show is all ages, but is intended for an adult audience.

True Lies in Storytelling

In “Truth, Justice, and the American Way…of Lying,” Better Said Than Done put on a storytelling show of wry humor, laugh out loud humor, and a smidge of the sad truth to keep it real.

The show kicked off with Chuck Na’s story about race relations in rural Mississippi.

Epicurean Stories

Our first show at Epicure Cafe, “Truth, Justice, and the American Way…of Lying” was a great success and a great experience. I heard nothing but rave reviews about the stories, the food and the service! One guest told me of the show that “this is the best night out” and I couldn’t agree more.

We will be posting photos and videos and more details soon – but just wanted to give a big thank you to Epicure Cafe for hosting us and a big shout out to all the great storytellers for sharing their true, personal, and unbelievable stories Saturday night.

Remember, if you are looking for things to do in Northern Virginia, Better Said Than Done is a great night out.

“Storytelling Posse” on WAMU

Art Beat, the DC area’s favorite source for everything that’s cool to do, listed “Truth, Justice, and the American Way…of Lying” in this morning’s program. My favorite part was when Sean Rameswaram referred to Better Said Than Done as Virginia’s “storytelling posse!” I wish I had thought of that. But now that it’s out there, watch out, cause there’s a new posse in town!
